My name is Serena Cipolletti, I am a lawyer specialised in intellectual and industrial property
Serena Cipolletti
Intellectual property
Together with my colleague Annalisa Macerata, I am a founding partner of Neuco s.r.l. Fifteen years ago, I began to work as trademark, design and patent attorney and to hold courses and seminars on Intellectual Property and on protecting creativity.
I worked with the TTO (Technology Transfer Office) of the Polytechnic University of Milan and created an Intellectual Property department by Morison AC from scratch. These experiences helped me gain the necessary expertise to not just protect a trademark, but also to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, thanks to which I can grasp the commercial potentials of an idea. Today, my clients are companies, inventors and designers that want to protect their original works and obtain suggestions and ideas for their business.

Key strengths
Multidisciplinary approach
I integrate my knowledge of law with complementary subjects such as design, advertising and marketing. In this way, I can identify possible issues based on their complexity and the impact they can have on the market and to solve them creatively. I also work on the entrepreneurial aspects that revolve around the field of Intellectual Property as a whole and that add up to its value more than the simple combination of trademarks, designs and patents.
Courses and training
I personally created a training course called “The rules of creativity”, which I held on various occasions. This was conceived for creatives who want to start a market business and it is aimed at providing them with the necessary legal and fiscal support to deal with specific subject matters: selling on consignment, online and offline sales, give-aways, copyright, the hobbyist/OPI card, etc.
Author of the manual “Hobbisti e creativi” (“Hobbyists and creatives”)
Beside consultancy services in the field of Intellectual Property, I offer a more specific counselling activity for micro-businesses, mainly crafters. On the subject, I have also written a manual called “Hobbisti e Creativi: tesserino ed altri adempimenti” (Hobbyists and Creatives: cards and other formalities), which is available for purchase here (only in Italian).
