Annalisa Macerata
Privacy and DPO
Together with my colleague Serena Cipolletti, I am a founding partner of Neuco s.r.l. For more than twenty years, I have been dealing mainly with privacy and data confidentiality, offering professional advice and legal assistance to businesses, with a specialisation in the healthcare sector.
To my long-term experience I add a high-level education, with two Master’s degrees received in 2006 and 2018. Afterwards, I obtained the title of Personal Data Protection Manager, Data Protection Officer and Privacy Expert.
As an expert on the subject, I focus my practice on all aspects related to privacy, data protection and governance of personal data, also taking on the position of Data Protection Officer (DPO) for my clients in case of need.

Key strengths
Speed and precision
I assist businesses in finding their way through the different laws that regulate the subject matter: from the very first national law of 1996 (Italian Law 675/1996) to the Personal Data Protection Code (Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003), up to the latest fundamental legislative step leading to the adoption of the new Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR). Over the years I have collected a significant case law, which allows me today to respond quickly and with precision to our clients’ needs.
Privacy Culture
Most of my current clients (healthcare structures in particular) appointed me as privacy consultant back in 2004. This gave me the opportunity to establish a long-term process in terms of privacy, while developing a profound culture with regards to personal data protection, which goes beyond the mere fulfilment of the formal requirements provided for by the law. Among the many satisfactions I experienced from a personal and professional point of view, this is perhaps the greatest.
Pragmatic approach
Besides the activity of advisory and legal assistance and education, I also take care of professional training for human resources with regards to privacy. I take pride in responding promptly to my clients’ requests and to clarify all their doubts in an easy and direct way.
